Overview
Join CSM Worldwide for an extensive examination of Europe’s automotive landscape with presentations regarding the economy and the future outlook of light vehicle sales, production, and powertrain manufacturing within the European markets.
Greg Mount, Chief Economist, will present how quickly the economies of the world will recover from the recent economic turmoil and the implications of the long-term rise in oil prices. Walt Madeira, Manager, European Vehicle Sales Forecasts, will provide an overview of current developments and future growth trends in European sales, as well as the short-term gain versus the long-term pain of recent incentive programs. Mark Fulthorpe, Director, European Vehicle Forecasts, will address the short term outlook of European vehicle production and analysis of OEM strategies impacting future production. Andrew Fulbrook, Senior Manager, European Powertrain Forecasts, will assess the path to pure electric and hybrid vehicles for the European market by providing commentary on the ‘7 Stars’, including product availability, charging infrastructure, government incentives, legislative forcings, battery evolution, oil and fuel prices, and the “well-to-wheel” argument.
